Software built from inside the sport.

I build useful software for endurance sports and ambitious businesses.

I'm Evan Bausbacher, an elite cyclist and full-stack product builder. I build my own endurance products and partner with serious operators to turn strong ideas and messy workflows into software people actually use.

TrainingDojo

A training-plan execution platform that turns plans from coaches, spreadsheets, or AI into structured workouts athletes can actually use.

Ways to work together

I take on a small number of serious engagements.

Endurance operators are the clearest fit. I also work with selected founders and owner-led businesses when the problem is concrete and the software matters.

My story

Cycling taught me where the problems are. Engineering taught me how to build through them.

I have raced at the elite and professional level since 2014. The sport is not a market I selected from a trend report; it is where I spend my time, notice the broken handoffs, and meet the people living with them.

I studied Electrical Engineering at UT Austin and have worked across full-stack and systems software at ProtoLink since 2021, including software for medical-device and industrial applications.

My own cycling tools became public data products, then paid software with real users. EBaus Cycling LLC is the umbrella for that work and for the select client projects where the same product discipline is useful.

How I work

Stay close to the operation. Ship the smallest useful system.

I work directly with the people using and owning the software. The process is straightforward on purpose.

  1. 01

    Understand

Learn the operation, users, constraints, and cost of the current problem.

  2. 02

    Define

Choose the smallest useful system and make the tradeoffs explicit.

  3. 03

    Build

Work in visible checkpoints so the product stays connected to reality.

  4. 04

    Launch

Put it in use, learn from it, then continue or hand it off cleanly.

I accept a limited number of engagements so I can stay involved in the details and keep building my own products.
