The throughline
The sport came first. The software followed the problems.
I have been racing bikes at the elite and professional level since 2014. It is still my favorite way to spend time. It also means I notice the unglamorous parts of endurance sports: training plans that do not reach the athlete's calendar, results trapped in old files, and promoters doing critical work through brittle spreadsheets.
I started building tools for those problems because I wanted them to exist. Texas Cycling Stats proved that useful public data could earn an audience. TrainingDojo proved that I could turn a narrow product insight into recurring revenue. RaceDojo and CritHub are the next expressions of that same conviction.
I am still a working software developer. That matters to me. I like understanding a system, making a real thing, putting it in front of people, and being responsible for what happens next.

Since 2021, I have worked at ProtoLink on custom software for microprocessor-based devices and electromechanical machines. My work is generally full stack and includes product applications for medical-device and industrial environments.
That experience has made me comfortable entering complicated systems, learning quickly, improving existing products, and building new ones with the consequences in view.
ProtoLink is my employer. Its customers are not presented here as clients of EBaus Cycling LLC.
